Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking. This blog is usually all about fashion, decor, jewelry, etc., but hey, there’s so much more to life, and gossip is definitely one of them! Yes, I said it! I have to spill the tea on one of my favorite shows—The Real Housewives of Nairobi. I don’t care what y’all say about it; I absolutely loved Season 1 and Season 2. If you missed Season 2, let me tell you, it was pure gold. Reality shows are nothing without the drama, and if you don’t like drama, then, honey, reality TV isn’t for you!
So, speaking of drama, let’s dive into the queen of it all—Dr. C!
Dr. C (Catherine Masitsa)
Yes, I said it—Dr. C was the show this season! She brought the drama, and I absolutely loved her for it. She’s just the right amount of messy—in a good way! This woman has brains for days, and the way she plays her cards? Whew! Just like Nicki Minaj said, “You play checkers; couldn’t beat me playing chess.” Dr. C is definitely playing chess while the others are still on checkers.
She was hilarious this season and really stepped up her game. Sure, she came off as mean sometimes, especially when she first met Zena, but I guess she’s just keeping it real. If Dr. C doesn’t like you, she just doesn’t, and she doesn’t know how to pretend. I appreciate a real queen!
However, I wasn’t too thrilled with her reunion behavior. She was a bit too nice to Minne, almost like she was trying to get on Minne’s good side. It kinda reminded me of high school, where people would bow down to the popular kids just to feel accepted. No, Dr. C, we love the independent you! Don’t team up with anyone—bring the mess all by yourself like you did all season. Can’t wait to see what you bring in Season 3!
Zena Nyambu
Now, let’s talk about Zena—one of the new kids on the block. I’ll admit, I didn’t like her at first, and maybe it’s because it felt like she was teaming up with Minne and Vera against Dr. C and Farah, which was totally unnecessary. I also got the vibe that she was afraid of Minne, but boy, did she prove me wrong at the reunion!
Zena came with receipts, and my oh my, we loved every bit of it. This girl can be tough as nails! What I’ve learned about Zena is that she’s not to be played with, and she can definitely stand up for herself. I’m so excited to see what she brings next season—I think it’s going to be absolute fire with Zena in it!
Minne Kariuki
Minne, Minne, Minne—the queen of shade! I absolutely love her, but I must admit, she came on a bit too strong this season, especially with the shade towards Farah. The good thing is, she owned up to her mistakes and apologized at the reunion, which I loved. Good job, Minne!
Let’s be real, though—imagine The Real Housewives of Nairobi without Minne. It would be so dull! I absolutely love Minne as an actress too, especially in Single Kiasi (check it out on Showmax—but kids, stay away; this one’s not for you!). I also love how she holds it down for Charles. Even though she can be mean, she’s definitely a good wifey. Can’t wait to see what she brings in the next season!
Vera Sidika
Oh, Vera! I’ve always loved her—she’s my girl! But I felt like she mellowed down this season and didn’t bring as much drama as I hoped. Considering the fact that most people watch the show because of Vera, it was a bit disappointing. We want to see more Vera, more drama, more everything! Please take us on your trips too—we want more Vera on the screen! But one thing’s for sure—Vera is genuinely a good person with a big heart. You can just tell.
As always, I can’t wait to see what she brings next season.
Farah Esmail
Farah, Farah, Farah—she was just too diplomatic this season. She’s nice, but we want to see the other side of you, Farah! Just like Dr. C said, it feels like you’re always on the fence, not really belonging to any side. We want to see the drama, Farah!
I did love her at the reunion, though, but I wish she wasn’t afraid to get mad and show the angry side. I don’t have much to say, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what she brings in Season 3.
Reja
Honestly, I don’t have much to say about Reja. She brought nothing but violence. She was always angry about something and throwing glasses around. We didn’t quite get her storyline—it was all just violence, which I didn’t like. With that said, I really hope she doesn’t come back in Season 3.
So, that’s it, y’all! All in all, I loved the season and can’t wait for Season 3!
